Job Title: School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: Bethlehem, PA Area

School Year: 2024-2025

Employment Type: Full-Time (37.5 Hours/Week), Onsite
- Note, may be itinerant

Pay Scale: $28-36/hour

Caseload Information: Grades 9-12

Qualifications:

Valid Licensed Practical Nurse license in Pennsylvania
Experience working as a nurse in a school, pediatric, or related healthcare setting (experience in an educational setting preferred).
Experience with disability accommodations (i.e. G-tube, tracheostomy, and/or seizure management accommodations) preferred
Strong clinical skills, including first aid, medication administration, and assessment of common childhood illnesses and injuries.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff members.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Must be comfortable with riding the bus to and from school and/or field trips with students

Responsibilities:

Assess and respond to students' health concerns, injuries, and illnesses promptly, providing appropriate care and referrals as needed.
Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with specific medical needs, in collaboration with parents/guardians and other healthcare providers.
Maintain accurate and confidential health records, including immunization records, health assessments, and documentation of healthcare services provided.
Educate students, parents, and staff on health-related topics, including preventive care, hygiene practices, and emergency procedures.
Provide accommodations for students with disabilities as needed per school's requirements
Ride bus to and from school/field trips with students as needed
